Privacy Complaint Guidelines

FaceDub does not want content on the site that violates people's privacy or sense of safety. Filling out our complaint form to the best of your ability, will help us best assist you with your issue.
  1. Make sure that your complaint really relates to a violation of your privacy. If you've found material offensive and it violates the Terms of Use, please use the flagging feature beneath the FaceDub. It will bring it to our attention immediately. Please do not use this privacy complaint form for photos that do not violate your privacy, because this may keep us from understanding and properly addressing your concerns.
  2. Please be aware that when you're in public spaces these days, it's highly likely that you will be caught on camera whether it be by security cameras, tourists, etc. If you appear only incidentally in a photo in a public space, it may be more difficult for us to assess your privacy concerns.
  3. If you become aware of a photo posted to FaceDub that you feel violates your privacy, as a first step, contact the uploader regarding your concerns. You may be able to do this through our private messaging feature. Sometimes they aren't even aware that someone feels uncomfortable with the posting of the photo. If you're unable to contact the uploader or they refuse to remove the photo in question, please send us a complaint notice. If we find the content in question violates our policies, we will remove it promptly.
  4. Make sure that you are the individual shown in the photo. We will not accept forms filled out for your co-workers, friends, or relatives. Please note we will not take action unless you are clearly identifiable in the photo.
Making a bad faith request may have adverse legal consequences for you in your own country. If you're not sure whether you have the right to request that a photo is removed from FaceDub, you should obtain your own legal advice.
